About the Business
I have always had a passion for animals since a very young age and have always had a dream of having my own business. After completing a business course with the Princes Trust I, Nicola, opened Flawless Paws in 2013. I developed a good knowledge of animals through studying Animal Management at Oaklands College and gained further experience through working at local boarding kennels. As my love for animals grew, I decided to join a local RSPCA rehoming centre. This taught me a lot more about animal behaviour and different ways to handle stressed and nervous dogs.
I still help out at the centre by grooming dogs that need a new haircut, or just a freshen up to make them feel more comfortable and relaxed. After leaving the RSPCA I worked in a commercial grooming salon. This gave me the drive to fully train to become a dog grooming stylist. I trained with Colin Taylor, an award winning groomer with over 20 years' experience. He has won several international awards and various grooming competitions.
