I completed a professional dog grooming course at Charney Kennels in Oxfordshire which covered practical elements such as coat preparation, nail trimming, bathing, drying, clipping, scissor finishing and hand-stripping. This culminated in a portfolio of a wide range of breed types and theory elements including; assessing coat types and condition, control and safety with difficult dogs, animal first aid, lifting procedure and grooming equipment. I also have 4 months experience working full time in a grooming salon during which I was able to gain experience working on a variety of breeds.
